A: Western typically offers two product training overviews per year – in the spring and in the fall.

Q: Can I use flexible stainless steel pigtails for a medical application?
A: No! According to NFPA 99, pigtails for Oxygen use shall contain no polymeric materials. Western offers rigid copper pigtails with permanent end connections for oxygen service.
Q:
Do I have to use a heater with a Nitrous Oxide or Carbon Dioxide manifold?
A: We strongly recommend that you use a heater with these cold gases for 2 reasons. Without the heater your flow is only 35 SCFH, with the heater it is 500 SCFH. A manifold without a heater also voids warranty on Western manifolds due to the cold temperature interaction with the regulators.
Q: How often should I change my pigtails?
A: As a manufacturer, we recommend that you change out the flexible stainless steel pigtails every 4 years and change out the rigid copper every 2 years.
